Arya passed during the night, she had cancer. I had her in one of the whelping rooms with a heat lamp so that she could keep warm. Yesterday she opened the gate to the run and went out to the barn and laid on some hay for hours. Then in the afternoon she came back up to the house and I put her in one of the new runs in front of the house, gave her some fresh straw to lay on. She laid down and looked at me and I knew then it would be only a matter of hours. She will be missed, she was always happy to see me. If she decided that she did not want in a run she would always find a way out.”
